2 Sisters Frozen Custard

Local Frozen Custard Shop

Last Sunday evening, we had just finished having a delicious meal with friends. On our way home, I was having a giant sweet tooth craving. Around seven o'clock at night, most good places are closed. Driving on 147th and Cicero in Midlothian, IL I couldn't help but notice the glowing lights coming from 2 Sisters Frozen Custard. Tucked away in the plaza, the green and yellow lights called my name.

Walking into the shop, I was extremely excited to get my sugar fix. Greeted with a delight smile, I looked over the menu. The menu had a variety to choose from. We couldn't help but order the Pumpkin Pie Concrete and Abby's Brownie Special. While waiting for my order I was as anxious as a kid in a candy store. The warm feeling, the carmel, vanilla, pumpkin pie aroma were rushing over me. I wanted to jump over the counter and stuff my face while the guy was working on my masterpiece. I didn't of course, it would have been wrong and I had to stay calm. I figured if I acted deranged, I wouldn't receive what looked to be heaven.

We sat outside the shop, on a round patio table and chairs. Across a father and son whom also were enjoying their experience. The moment the spoon touched my tongue I was in love. The pumpkin pie, so warm and perfectly cooked. Soft, tasteful, and the crust was cooked just the way I like it, hard. The frozen vanilla custard was over the top. It was so rich and creamy. Every bite I took got better. Yes, I should have taken a picture, but to tell you the truth I was in this trance with my Pumpkin Pie Concrete. Interrupting to take a picture of this grand masterpiece didn't cross my mind until it was all gone. I did get a few bites of Abby's Brownie Special. The brownie tasted home made, which only grandmas know how to perfect the recipe. Chocolaty and nutty worked very well with the creamy vanilla frozen custard. Covered with whip cream and carmel made it scrumptious. I highly recommend this little shop. Drop whatever you are doing and head over to 2 Sisters Frozen Custard on 4734 W. 147th Street in Midlothian, IL.

Always remember to support your local shops, restaurants, and stores. They need you as much as we need them.

**Since I was too busy gorging I didn't take any pictures. I stole these pictures from Yelp.Com... thanks
